In 2015 Dart Marina Hotel & Spa underwent a huge £2.5 million refurbishment. As well as overhauling numerous rooms, they also completely re-designed the surrounding landscape. This refurbishment was the latest in a 10-year long transformation that saw the luxurious hotel become a premier luxury location in the idyllic British county of South-Devon.
At the end of October after visiting the Hong Kong Lightfair, I took a side trip to Perth Australia to attend the gala opening of Lighting Options Australia's newest showroom. Paviom and I have had a great relationship with LOA & Ben Connick for over 5 years and this event was the latest in a string of successes we have enjoyed with the team.

As part of Paviom’s continuing relationship with e-Luminate festivals, on the 31st of October Vijay Vaja attended their latest event – The Light Lab – with our famous Tubelite in tow. The Tubelite is the world's first lighting system specifically designed to work with scaffolding key clamps. This robust LED light source can be combined with over one hundred different key clamp components to create any number of self-illuminating structures; such as handrails, barriers, shelving or even goal posts. We are very proud to introduce our newest team member and Project Sales Engineer: Vijay Vaja. After earning a degree in Product Design, Vijay began his career by working in an independent London showroom, specialising in high-end lighting brands such as Swarovski, Bocci, Flos and Font Barcelona to name a few.
As the UK and Ireland’s largest lighting association, the ILP Summit is the “must-attend” event for any lighting professional entrepreneur. Comprised of prominent individuals, exhibitors and speakers from all facets of the lighting industry, the ILP Summit’s prestigious reputation is well-deserved. Their recent 2015 event, held in the historic town of Rugby, continued it’s trend of having notable and well-known speakers presenting the fruits of their research throughout the event.
Mondo Arc magazine, one of the most widely read and respected lighting design publications in the world, in collaboration with Light Collective, enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in 2014 with the launch of the DARC Awards: A unique event aimed at including lighting designers, architects, interior designers and manufacturers in all manner of applications.

Paviom together with our partner Lighting Options Australia is exhibiting at the SPARC International Lighting Event, which will be held on 4–6 June 2013 at Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay, Sydney, Australia. Paviom is delighted to announce that its Aptus exterior bollard designed by international award winning product designer Terence Woodgate has been shortlisted in the external luminaires category at the Lighting Design Awards 2012. Winners will be announced on the 21st March 2012!
Paviom will be attending the Professional Lighting Design Convention (PLDC) on the 19th – 22nd of October 2011 in Madrid as a silver sponsor.

Landscape architecture firm Dan Pearson Studio recently installed the visually striking Strobilus major pendant from lighting specialists Paviom. Designed by Jonathon Coles, the Strobilus major takes inspiration from the open pinecone and utilises 100 leaves made from 100% recycled paper pulp mounted on a recyclable body.
Paviom recently supplied Crescent Lighting with exterior HID lighting projectors for a festive lighting scheme at The National Trusts Trelissick Gardens in Cornwall, just in time for Christmas. Paviom provided Tersus floodlights and Elencho spotlights, which were used throughout the five acres of garden as well as the iconic Water Tower.

Paviom’s Strobilus pendant, created by esteemed lighting designer Jonathon Coles, has been shortlisted at this year’s FX Awards, in the ‘Best Lighting Product’ category. The prestigious FX Awards invites both British and international design talent from all over the world to enter the very best of interior products and projects. The winners will be announced at the Grosvenor Hotel, on Tuesday November 30 th .
The latest innovation from Paviom is the highly sculptured and visually striking Strobilus pendant. Designed by Jonathan Coles, the Strobilus takes inspiration from the open pine cone and utilises 100 leaves made from 100% recycled paper pulp mounted on a recyclable body. The overall effect is a soft and organic shape that creates a warm and pleasing ambience.
Exterior lighting company Paviom has launched a versatile new range of Linear in-ground and surface mounted luminaires. The Limbus and Lentus ranges offer specifiers the freedom of uplighting or wall washing with T5 fluorescent or a variety of LED colours: white, red, green and blue to create a colourful and contemporary lighting scheme.
Paviom is proud to announce that its signature Lofoot lighting range has been commended in the External Luminaires category of the Lighting Design Awards 2010. The Lofoot range is a unique range of lighting modules and was the first product launch from the new exterior lighting company.
Paviom recently hosted The Language of Light Seminar at the Royal College of Art. Jeremy Myerson, Professor of Design at the RCA and Director of the Helen Hamlyn Centre chaired the event that welcomed over 80 guests from the lighting industry including architects and lighting consultants.

On October 19th, Paviom hosted the official company launch event to the architectural and building, lighting and public sector press. As the company has an exterior focus, Paviom chose to bring the outdoors in - not just through the exterior lighting products on display but in the sunny conservatory of the Millennium Gloucester Hotel, London, underneath some very tall and very real palm trees.
